Awful my elderly father out of hospital with serious illness, consultant told him to see GP with a new prescription, was told by receptionist no appointments or phone calls for 3 weeks,he was told to call 111 go to A and E, he only needed a new prescription to be made,,if anything happens to him I will hold them responsible, will be going to MP and obustman regarding this practice
Waited a week for urgent post operative prescription, despite 111 intervention and HOURS hanging on the phone. We are not allowed to visit the surgery, we have to phone...enough said. If this is VITA Healthcare you can stick it. Poor AI bots I suspect. No issues with the human staff, when you
The fairly new telephone system puts me in a queue with annoying music but with frequent updates of where I am in the queue.
When they are extremely busy they do refer patients to an 'overflow service' elsewhere so that no one has to wait too long. When it is a visit to a nurse she can always pass urgent matters to the duty doctor.
All of the members of staff are helpful and do their best within the limits of their resources. They have been putting a lot of effort into getting new and better premises.
I cannot begin to tell you how much it saddens me to leave this negative review. I’ve been with the surgery on and off for the last forty years. Mainly with Dr Bayles a Dr Nichols. They are both the sort of doctors that anyone could ever wish for. I have often read very negative reviews about this surgery and couldn’t quite equate to what people were writing about. After the conversation I had this afternoon with Debbie on reception this afternoon I really can see where they were coming from. Oh my goodness me, although unfailingly polite, she just could not get past my own concerns for my health and well being. My quite possibly serious health conditions being raised when having my Covid booster the week before meant absolutely nothing to her . Her mantra was that there were no telephone appointments with my own GP before Christmas and that I should I buy my own health testing equipment and either call 999 or 111 if I was concerned. Excuse me , what is the point of having a local GP ? I will obviously be raising this with my local MP.
disgrace even though things are back normal now
Outside the surgery there is a sighn STOP the door is locked you ring
And reception barks at you have you got a appointment
The tel system is appalling keeps cutting you off impossible to get face to face app.
For a telephone app have to weight 3 weeks I have gone back
To my old doctors .
